Former President of MOCAAPI Dr Vinod Sancheti continues to provide frontline leadership to build strong bond between the US, Indian diaspora and India.
This time, it was a dinner reception for Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi from Chicago with an elite guest line up of top medical professionals.
The congressman confirmed within limits of confidentiality that US-India relationships are on a very strong footing. “The new administration is very clear on strategic importance of India in the region as a friend of the US as well as bilateral trade. Though it can take up to years for a medical doctor to immigrate to the US today, the scenario should change soon,” he said.
“The US values Indian-Americans’ contribution to US economy at every level,” he said, citing the example of his own parents. The Congressman shared the struggles of his parents and his eventual rise in public life by dint of his strong academic background and values. He assured of his commitment to help build the relationship between two of the largest democracies in the world to make it a win-win for both.
