The India Association of Long Island (IALI) celebrated India’s 72nd Republic Day at India Center by hoisting the Indian Flag. It was the first time that the Flag Hoisting took place at India Center and that was possible under the leadership of President Shashi Malik and efforts made by Ravindra Kumar in installing the poles at India Center.
Past President Satnam Singh Parhar, who played an important role in acquiring the India Center was the chief guest and he hoisted the Indian Flag.
The function was attended by Past Presidents Satnam Singh Parhar, Beena Sabapathy, President Shashi Malik, Vice President Mr. Jasbir Jay Singh, Treasurer Mrs. Neelema Bedi, Executive Council members Neeru Bhambri, Pradeep Tandon, Standing Committee Members – Cultural Chair Anju Sharma, Membership Chair Ravindra Kumar, and Executive Assistant Sanju Sharma, Ad Hoc Committee Kiran Arora, Hargovind Gupta, along with few other IALI members attended the function.
IALI President Shashi Malik also attended India’s 72nd Republic Day celebration at Nassau County along with IALI members.
