Assemblymember Erik Dilan has endorsed Borough President Eric Adams for mayor, pointing to his long record of fighting on behalf of working-class communities.

“Today I proudly throw my support behind Eric Adams to be our next mayor,” Assemblymember Dilan said. “Eric Adams understands the struggles of the average New Yorker. He understands that the biggest economic development tool for most New Yorkers is a good paying job and a decent place to live. As our next mayor, I am confident Eric Adams will work to get people and our small businesses back on their feet.”

Adams was also endorsed by District Leader Arleny Alvarado-McCalla.

“Brooklynites know that Eric Adams is the fighter New York needs to recover from the devastation of the pandemic,” Alvarado-McCalla said. “Eric has a record of governing for the people. As Borough President, he helped bring our residents equity in education and housing. His 100 Steps Forward plan shows that he will continue to be an advocate for social justice. Eric is committed to repairing our economy and lifting up New Yorkers from every block and every neighborhood. I am proud to support Eric for mayor. The people deserve a leader with the strength to move us forward together.”

Adams has been endorsed by a diverse group of local elected officials and leaders already, including Bronx Deputy Borough President and longtime Assembly Member Aurelia Greene, Sen. Roxanne Persaud, Assembly Member Jaime WIlliams and Council Members Alicka, Ampry-Samuel, Laurie Cumbo, Daneek Miller, Ydanis Rodriguez and Darma Diaz.
