Kareena Kapoor Khan chose a message of self-love to mark International Women’s Day 2026, reaching out to women with the line that has followed her for nearly two decades: “Main apni favourite hoon.” The actor returned to the famous dialogue from Jab We Met to remind her followers that valuing oneself should be a daily habit, not a once-a-year slogan.
On Sunday, Kareena shared a carousel of solo photos on Instagram, including sun-kissed close-ups, a scenic shot against snow-capped mountains, and playful selfies in sunglasses. Along with the images, she wrote a note addressing “all the women out there,” urging them to never forget to say “Main apni favourite hoon” every single day of their lives. She signed off with a simple Women’s Day greeting, keeping the focus on confidence and self-worth.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with wishes and praise, calling her “inspiring” and “Mother to many,” and referencing both her on-screen characters and off-screen persona. Many echoed the line back to her, showing how the dialogue has moved from film script to everyday catchphrase. For a generation that grew up quoting Geet from Imtiaz Ali’s 2007 film, the words have come to stand for unapologetic individuality.
International Women’s Day is observed globally on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements and push for gender equality, and this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” focuses on creating spaces where women can thrive.
