Mohanlal has shared a new poster for Drishyam 3, confirming the film’s worldwide release on April 2, 2026. The image shows his character Georgekutty in a banana field with a serious expression, echoing the first film’s look.

Fans reacted quickly on social media after Mohanlal posted the image on February 13. Many wrote that they cannot wait for the film. Some asked why Georgekutty stands in the plantation.

The poster carries the tagline “Past never stays silent.” This points to the old crime from the first Drishyam still affecting Georgekutty and his family.

Director Jeethu Joseph returns for this third part. He says the story picks up four and a half years later in Georgekutty’s life. Shooting took place in Thodupuzha, Vagamon, and Ernakulam in Kerala.

Producer Antony Perumbavoor noted the strong response to the first two films led to this sequel. The team held a puja ceremony near Kochi in September 2025 to launch production. Mohanlal started work around the time he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Jeethu Joseph has asked viewers not to expect too much thriller action. But Asha Sharath, who plays IG Geetha Prabhakar, said the end will surprise people.

Theaters in Kerala have booked slots for Drishyam 3, signaling a large release. Screenshots of deals show major venues reserved.

A Hindi remake with Ajay Devgn comes later on October 2, 2026.
