Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt melted hearts on the 77th Republic Day by posting a photo of an Indian flag handmade by her three-year-old daughter, Raha Kapoor, on Instagram Stories.
Alia captioned the image of the colorful tricolour, marked with Raha’s name, “Happy Republic Day” alongside Indian flag and folded hands emojis. She also shared a smiling solo selfie dated “Jan 26, 2026,” extending warm wishes to fans on the national holiday celebrating India’s Constitution.
The heartwarming post highlights the young family’s patriotic spirit amid Republic Day festivities. Raha, born on November 6, 2022, to Alia and husband Ranbir Kapoor, who wed in an intimate ceremony on April 14, 2022, has rarely appeared publicly, making this glimpse special.
Alia’s gesture joins a wave of celebrity tributes. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan praised the Constitution’s role in embracing diversity, federalism, and democracy, stating its strength lies in everyday conduct. Akshay Kumar urged pride in Indian identity with “Say with pride, we are Indians” and chants of “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.” Suniel Shetty reflected, “Freedom gave us a voice. The Republic gave us responsibility,” while Chiranjeevi called for unity under the tricolour. Stars like Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Hrithik Roshan also shared messages.
On the professional front, Alia and Ranbir, who starred together in 2022’s Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, reunite in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, now delayed to 2027 to avoid clashing with Ranbir’s Ramayana: Part One set for Diwali 2026. The epic features Yash, Sai Pallavi, and others; Love & War stars Vicky Kaushal.
