The Federation of Indo American Associations of Southern California (FIA), a prominent umbrella organization serving the Indo-American community since its establishment in 1982, has announced a series of key leadership appointments, marking an important moment in its ongoing mission of community service and representation.

Mr. Ashok Khullar, Founder and Chairman of UVT Studio Hollywood, has been appointed as Chairman of FIA. A respected entrepreneur and community leader, Mr. Khullar brings decades of experience in media, entertainment, and organizational leadership. FIA extended its congratulations, expressing confidence that his vision and dedication will further strengthen the federation’s impact and outreach.

In another significant appointment, Mr. Amandeep Sodhi, CEO of 777 Entertainments, Perfect Marketing, and Yuvraj Autos, has been named Chairman-Elect of FIA. Known for his dynamic leadership across multiple business sectors, Mr. Sodhi is expected to play a key role in shaping the federation’s future initiatives and strategic direction.

Additionally, FIA announced the appointment of Mrs. Monika Sodhi, a Professional Financial Advisor, as Vice President of the Women’s Wing (FIA). Her professional expertise and commitment to empowerment are anticipated to enhance the role of women within the organization and the broader community.

In a joint message, the FIA team congratulated all three leaders, noting that they were “truly meant for their respective positions” and expressing best wishes for continued success as they assume their new responsibilities.

With these appointments, FIA reaffirms its commitment to strong leadership and continued service to the Indo-American community in Southern California.

Further, to promote cultural unity, civic engagement, and a deeper appreciation of India’s democratic values within the diverse communities of Southern California, the Federation of Indo American Associations of Southern California (FIA) has announced that it will host India’s 77th Republic Day Celebration on Saturday, January 24, 2026, bringing together community leaders, elected officials, and cultural performers to commemorate one of India’s most significant national occasions.

The event will take place at the Anaheim Marriott Suites Hotel, located at 12015 Harbor Boulevard, Garden Grove, California, with festivities beginning at 7:00 p.m. onwards. Established in 1982, FIA continues its long-standing tradition of organizing large-scale cultural and national celebrations for the Indo-American community across Southern California.

According to the organizers, several prominent dignitaries have been invited to attend the celebration. The list of invited chief guests includes California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell, Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, Consul General of India in Los Angeles, U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff, Congresswoman Judy Chu, Congressman Lou Correa, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn, among others.

The evening will also feature cultural performances, with entertainment and artistic presentations by the Shivam Arts School of Kathak Dance, founded and directed by Punam Kumar, highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage.
