Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has showered praise on the teaser of Yash’s upcoming action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, calling it “dynamite” in an Instagram Story post. The teaser, unveiled on January 8 coinciding with Yash’s 40th birthday, features the “Rocking Star” as the intense character Raya in a high-octane cemetery shootout sequence, wielding a Tommy gun amid chaos and gunfire.

Bhatt shared the viral clip, adding fire emojis and tagging Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth, amplifying the buzz around the pan-Indian film.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and written by her and Yash, Toxic marks the KGF: Chapter 2 hero’s big-screen return, produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The ensemble boasts a powerhouse female cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria, with technical heavyweights like cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, composer Ravi Basrur, and action directors JJ Perry, Anbariv, and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Slated for a global theatrical release on March 19, 2026—aligning with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa—the film promises a dark, layered narrative filmed in Kannada and English with dubs in multiple languages. Makers recently dismissed delay rumors, confirming the date amid massive anticipation.

Meanwhile, Bhatt gears up for YRF Spy Universe’s Alpha with Sharvari and Bobby Deol, now postponed to April 17, 2026, for VFX polishing, avoiding clashes. The teaser on social media underscores Toxic‘s bold ambition in a crowded 2026 slate.
