Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-anticipated film, Akhanda 2, is now set to release on December 12, after a last-minute postponement from its original December 5 date. The producer-distributor 14 Reels Plus officially announced the new release date on their X (formerly Twitter) account on December 9, accompanied by a fresh promotional poster.

The announcement came after a week-long delay that disappointed fans eagerly awaiting the film. The makers had issued an apology, explaining that despite their best efforts to premiere the film as planned, unforeseen circumstances forced them to postpone the release. “We sincerely apologize to all the fans and cinema lovers across the world,” stated 14 Reels Plus, further expressing gratitude to lead actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, often hailed as the ‘God of Masses,’ and director Boyapati Srinu for their unwavering support during the setback.

In addition to the December 12 theatrical release, grand premieres are scheduled for December 11. Ticket bookings are expected to open soon, signaling a major comeback for the film.

Akhanda 2 continues the story of the titular character Akhanda, portrayed by Balakrishna, who battles sinister forces striving to undermine India’s spiritual freedom. The official trailer runs for nearly three minutes, showcasing intense action sequences and the protagonist’s fierce commitment to protecting Hinduism.

The film’s first installment gained significant popularity, and fans have been highly enthusiastic about this sequel. With the new release date set, anticipation is building for what promises to be a box office blockbuster.
