Stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina announced the return of his viral web series “India’s Got Latent” during his live comeback show “Still Alive & Unfiltered” in New Delhi on November 9, 2025. After months away from public appearances amidst controversy, Raina declared to a packed audience at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, “Show toh main wapas launga” (I will bring back the show), to deafening cheers. Though he did not specify a timeline or platform for the second season, his words confirmed the much-anticipated revival of the popular series.
“India’s Got Latent” had become an internet sensation for its unfiltered humor and talent discoveries. However, the show faced severe backlash earlier this year when a clip featuring panelist Ranveer Allahbadia sparked outrage over an insensitive remark. The controversy led to multiple FIRs against the creators, police summons, and intense social media scrutiny, taking a heavy toll on Raina’s mental health and causing him to step back from the spotlight.
During his Delhi performance, Raina reflected candidly on these challenges, calling the controversy one of the toughest phases of his life. Despite lucrative OTT platform offers to host the show’s second season, he rejected them, citing concerns over content control. He emphasized a desire to keep the show’s raw, unfiltered spirit without muting jokes or controversies, which fans admire.
Raina’s return marks not only a revival of “India’s Got Latent” but also a reclaiming of his artistic freedom and journey. His announcement was met with overwhelming support from the audience and followers online, signaling strong fan enthusiasm for the show’s new season, even as details remain under wraps.
