Filmmaker-actor Rahul Mittra shines in the role of Judge in the movie ‘Haq’

The recently-released film ‘Haq’, starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, is on fire. Directed by Suparn Varma and produced by Times Group MD Vineet Jain’s Junglee Pictures, Haq is stirring the nation with its powerful narrative and peformances by the film’s leading actors. Not only is the film being loved for the brilliant portrayals by the lead couple but it is also being appreciated for the spectacular performances by other key characters played by actors like Femina Miss India winner Vartika Singh, Sheeba Chadha, Danish Hussain, Aseem Hattangady, Aparna Ghoshal, Piloo Vidyarthi and, above all, Rahul Mittra.

Rahul Mittra, a well-known filmmaker, branding expert and seasoned actor, has generally been behind the camera in his more than 15 years of film career, producing cinematic gems like the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster trilogy, Bullett Raja, Revolver Rani, and Sarkar-3, amongst others. Of late, Mittra has been in news for his acting in Imtiaz Ali’s acclaimed Netflix film Chamkila, Jio Cinema’s hit web series Inspector Avinash and Shark Tank India season 5 commercial.

But Mittra’s role in Haq as Sessions Judge RN Tripathi is winning him accolades from critics and audiences alike, across India. Top Bollywood film critic Taran Adarsh in his review of Haq called Rahul Mittra’s acting as exceptional, adding weight and authenticity to the film; and leading News channel ABP News said that Rahul Mittra has shined in his real life portrayal as the magistrate. Leading lifestyle magazine Femina has named Rahul Mittra as one of the five key characters to watch out for in Haq.

Being screened in cinemas worldwide from November 7, Haq has seen a huge jump in box-office collections over its opening weekend, with the audiences making a beeline for the ticket counters.
