This Saturday, on September 27th, India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif calling him out for once again glorifying terrorism at the United Nations General Assembly. Petal Gahlot, the Indian diplomat exercising the right to reply, made a big remark stating that terrorism is in the epicentre of foreign policy of Pakistan.
While addressing the 80th session of the UNGA yesterday, on September 26th, PM Sharif targeted India alleging that Pakistan had faced “unprovoked aggression” by India. He was referring to Operation Sindoor that India launched as a retaliation to the Pahalgan terror attack that took 26 innocent lives. He also highlighted that Pakistan’s armed forces had repelled the Indian attack with “stunning professionalism, bravery and acumen,”
Ms Gahlot responded to these comments today with fire stating the drama cannot conceal the facts as they did last time in the UN Security Council protecting ‘The Resistance Front’. She even recalled Pakistan giving shelter to Osama bin Laden for a decade, all while pretending to be together in the fight against terrorism. She highlighted that if they want proof the pictures of their damaged runways and hangars are available.
“No degree of drama and no level of lies can conceal the facts. This is the very same Pakistan which, at the UN Security Council on 25 April 2025, shielded ‘The Resistance Front’, a Pakistani-sponsored terror outfit, from the responsibility of carrying out the barbaric massacre of tourists in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” she said.
“If destroyed runways and burnt-out hangars look like victory, as the Prime Minister claimed, Pakistan is welcome to enjoy it,” Ms Gahlot added.
