This Monday, on September 22nd, the makers of the upcoming movie Homebound, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, hosted a starry screening in Mumbai. The screening of the movie saw several big names show up at the event but what became the highlight and got the social media buzzing was a rare union between the exes Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor.
Both Bollywood stars Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor made separate entries at the screening and were seen interacting with guests. However, a video went viral on social media that showed Arjun and Malaika embracing each other in a warm hug and exchanging pleasantries.
This was a very rare occurrence as the two stars have not been seen together since they have parted ways. Arjun and Malaika began dating 7 years back in 2018. Initially they kept their relationship private and away from the public eye however, they began sharing romantic photos from their getaways and posted birthday wishes for each other on their Instagram account.
The couple after 6 years of being together parted ways last year in 2024. While Arjun was at an event promoting his movie Singham Again, the actor confirmed the rumours and stated, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo (No, I’m single now. Relax).”
On the contrary, Malaika in an interview, reacting to Arjun’s declaration, stated that she likes to keep things private. She said, “I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don’t want to elaborate much.”
