The viral sensation from 2019, actress Priya Prakash Varrier, who became an overnight sensation all across the country after the wink scene in the Malayalam film Oru Adaar Love, is back in the limelight. She was spotted as an extra in the newly released film “Param Sundari” starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor.
The netizens were stunned to find Priya Prakash Varrier as an extra in one of the songs of the film. People were surprised that the Malayalam actress would agree to be an extra in a Bollywood film even though she still features in Telugu and Hindi projects.
Many fans even went on to say that she could’ve been the lead actress in the film replacing Janhvi Kapoor. Netizens were not happy with the actress being an extra in the movie and speculated that the actress’ role might have got cut when the movie was trimmed. They even speculated that the actress might have auditioned for a role but couldn’t crack it. A user highlighted that priya has been working in South industry and was recently part of ‘Good Black Ugly’ starring Ajith Kumar.
A user wrote, “I thought I was the only one who noticed. The movie got trimmed, maybe her role was cut. Maybe she auditioned for the thirsty nurse role but got rejected.”

Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota, was released on the big screens on 29th August and has been in the news constantly. The movie drew sharp comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s hit venture Chennai Express. The lead actress, Janhvi has also received heavy criticism for her accent in the film from a Malayali actress and an influencer.
