Four years ago, when three of the biggest actresses in the country, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif put up a picture together announcing that they will be coming together in their first film together, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. Fans were very excited about the venture but since then there have been little to no updates about the status of the movie which led many to believe that the project is being shelved.

However, after a long wait, the movie’s director Farhan Akhtar has revealed that the project is not dead but has been put on hold for a while now. Farhan, in an interview with the American YouTube channel Our Stupid Reactions, revealed that the film will definitely happen but he just doesn’t know when.

“I would hate to say that it’s shelved. What I will say is that it has been put on the back burner. It is a film that will happen. Again, I don’t know when it will be. But it’s too delicious a script and there’s so much work that has already been done on it,” Farhan Akhtar told the hosts Rick Segal and Korbin Miles.

The actor-director also stated that he has finished scouting the locations and has recorded the music for the film. However, the statement that has left many fans wondering was when Farhan stated that he cannot comment on the cast of the film anymore.

“I have finished all location scouts, recorded music for the film. All of the stuff’s done. So, it’s just a matter of time that we come back and do it again. I can’t comment on the cast anymore, like what that will be and when that will land. But will the film happen? The film will happen,” Farhan added.

Meanwhile, Akhtar is waiting for the release of his film 120 Bahadur in which he will be portraying the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led the Battle of Rezang La in 1962 during the India-China War. The film will be released on the big screens on November 21st, later this year.
