The 14th India Day Parade, held on August 24th, 2025, was a grand celebration of Indian heritage and culture in the United States, attracting over 15,000 attendees. The event, organized by the India Day Parade (IDP) committee, was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, financial supporters, contributors, and volunteers.
The India Day Parade is an annual celebration that honors the sacrifices of martyrs who gave their lives for our nation and pays tribute to the bravery of our soldiers who continue to protect our country. It showcases the patriotic spirit of Indian-Americans and their contributions to the United States, while celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and values.
“We are thrilled to have successfully executed another spectacular India Day Parade,” said Mr. Deepak Bansal, IDP President. “This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our team, volunteers, and supporters. We are grateful for their contributions and commitment to our community.”
Mr. Vimal Goyal, IDP President, added, “The community’s National support with Tan Man and Dhan made this event a huge success. It’s the strong support from all of you, the volunteers, that has been tremendous year after year in making this parade a great success.”
The event featured a dazzling array of floats, marching teams, town and county bands, performers, including talented singers like Khuda Baksh, Rantik Bhai, and his team and delicious free food for all, served alongside the parade route and also at the starting and ending point. Attendees enjoyed special drinks, ice cream, and more, making it a truly festive atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the event was the raffle draw, with plenty of prizes to be won, including a grand prize of a round-trip air ticket to India. Many other exciting prizes were also awarded, adding to the excitement of the day.
The IDP committee would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, town and county officials, and all the vendors who contributed to the success of the event. Special thanks to Bhagyashree, our Bollywood celebrity, Honorable Rena Malik, Honorable Binaya Pradhan, Counselor General of NY, and Harry Singh Bolla, the business tycoon, our esteemed Grand Marshals for their support. We also appreciate the photographers who captured the essence of the event.
Congratulations to both presidents, Mr. Deepak Bansal and Mr. Vimal Goyal, for their outstanding leadership. A special mention must be made of the founder of the IDP parade, Dr. Bobby Kalotee, whose vision and dedication have made this event a staple of the Indian-American community.
As one attendee aptly put it, “Hats off to Team IDP for another execution of IDP 2025! Pleasure and honor to work with each committee member! It takes teamwork to make the dream work!”
