Indian American Muslims of North America (IAMNA) proudly participated in the India Day Parade in New York City, joining the grand celebration of India’s Independence with full spirit, unity, and patriotism. From women in vibrant attire to children waving the tricolor with joy and men marching with pride—our community came together to celebrate our heritage, culture, and love for the motherland.
IAMNA’s float stood out and attracted many with the lively beats of traditional Hyderabadi Marfa music and powerful patriotic slogans such as “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Saare Jahan Se Acha Hindostan Hamara.” These echoes of unity and pride created an atmosphere that deeply connected with the crowds along the parade route.

Moreover, to honor the legacy of sacrifice and achievement, our placards carried the proud faces of Muslim freedom fighters and national icons who shaped India’s history. These included Tipu Sultan, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Mohammad Ali Jauhar.
