The Health Camp of New Jersey (HCNJ), in collaboration with Shree Venkateswara Temple (Bridgewater) and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (Somerset), successfully hosted a Community Health Fair on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Balaji Temple in Bridgewater, NJ. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, serving over 150 individuals with accessible healthcare services, health education, and wellness resources.
The fair offered free health screenings, personalized consultations, and educational sessions, demonstrating a strong collective commitment to improving community health. The success of the event was made possible by the incredible dedication of volunteers from HCNJ, SSAI, SAMHIN, RWJ-Somerset, temple management and volunteers, the NJ Artists Lions Club, and many other community organizations. The Faith Home Health Care was provided education on home health, skilled nursing, rehab and other critical services available in New Jersey. The LabCorp, Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy and ANS have continued to support the health fairs in 2025.

The event also welcomed Hillsborough Mayor John Ciccarelli and Deputy Mayor Catherine Payne, who visited the fair to show their support. Both officials congratulated the temple management and Health Camp of New Jersey for their continued commitment to community health awareness for over 25 years, applauding the collaborative efforts to provide vital services to local residents.
The Cancer prevention education, Consultations in cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, urology, and women’s health, Mental health screening and counseling, Physical therapy and dietary guidance, Hands-on CPR/AED education, Dental screening and oral health education, Eye screening for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy and Alternative medicine therapies were part of this health fair.
HCNJ, Balaji Temple management, and RWJ University Hospital–Somerset plan to continue this impactful partnership with more health-focused events, reinforcing their shared goal of community-centered, culturally competent healthcare.

The next health fair will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Hindu American Temple & Cultural Center (Krishna Temple), 31 Wooleytown Road, Morganville, NJ 07751. Online registration is now open at www.IHCNJ.org and will close on Monday, August 4, 2025.
With a legacy of over 13,500 individuals screened and 4,200+ chronic conditions identified over the last 25+ years, HCNJ remains committed to advancing community health. The organization is also actively working toward launching a Community Health Center by 2026, designed to offer ongoing care and follow-up services for vulnerable populations.
