Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta recently shared a very disturbing video on Instagram in which she claimed that she has been facing harassment at her home ever since she called out major industry names in the MeToo movement back in 2018. Now, a day after the video Dutta has stated that her life is in danger due to the “Bollywood mafia gang”.
The actress in a recent interview has claimed that her life is being threatened and has pointed out the Bollywood mafia gang who are becoming a danger to her life. She even drew parallels to late Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead in his apartment in 2020 and his untimely death had triggered many conspiracy theories against Bollywood.
“The Bollywood mafia gang is huge, and like Sushant, my life is also in danger. Like Sushant Singh Rajput, there is an attempt to kill me too,” Tanushree said.
The actress stated that she has not had a great time with Mumbai Police 7 years back during the MeToo movement. She stated that she was told to file a FIR but nothing came of it. She even claimed that the harassers have protections for politicians and have a real scope of justice.
“My experience with the Mumbai Police during the 2018 MeToo movement left a very bitter taste in my mouth. They encouraged me to file a FIR back then. I spent four to five hours at the station, gave a detailed statement, and kept following up and nothing came of it. In Maharashtra, these molesters and harassers are often hobnobbing with politicians. They’re protected. So, there’s no real scope of justice,” she said.
In the video shared, Dutta has stated that she was being harassed in her home and that is why she called the police, and they have suggested she should launch a proper complaint. She has claimed that she has been harassed for 4-5 years now, and it has taken a toll on her.
