Genelia D’Souza is making a return to the Telugu film industry with her new movie Junior after 13 years of absence from the industry. While she was promoting her film, she talked about her Telugu co-stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun who have all become superstars in the industry.
Genelia was talking about how much he admires both Ram Charan and Jr. NTR and when she saw them in RRR she couldn’t believe they were the “same boys” she worked with earlier. She talked about how they haven’t been in touch but the admiration has always been there. She listed qualities specific to all three superstars and stated she feels nice to have been a part of their lives.
She told the press in Hyderabad, “When I saw RRR and all, I was like wow. These are the same boys I worked with in Orange and other films. I’ve known them as friends, right? Because we all started our careers together. I’ve not been in touch, of course.”
Genelia added, “But I’ve always thought of NTR as extremely gifted. He used to have three pages of dialogue, he used to just look at it and go to take. I wonder how. And Ram Charan had this amazing flair; it was just inbuilt. Allu Arjun was so energetic. So today, when I see them as superstars with their children and families, I’m happy to have had a part in their lives when they were younger and when we were all growing up.”
The actress addressed how she owes her career to the south as her first Bollywood movie was a south remake. She mentioned she has a special place for the industry and the region in her life. She now makes a comeback in the industry with her new film, Junior which was released on the big screens today, on July 18th.
