Veteran actress Indira Krishnan is going to be part of the highly awaited Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role as Lord Ram. Krishnan, who is going to play the role of Kaushaliya in the movie, was recently in an interview where she talked in length about Ranbir and how her experience was working with the superstar.
Indira talked about her time at the sets with Ranbir not just as a co-star but as a lovely father. She said Ranbir was her ‘favourite co-star hands down’ and stated how down to earth the superstar is. She also emphasized how he always made sure she felt at home on the sets by checking in on her every day and having thoughtful conversations with her. She even said, “I’ve never seen a star of his stature treat people the way he does.”
She also shed light on Ranbir’s beautiful relationship with his daughter Raha. The love the actor shows to her daughter is truly heart-warming. Indira even recalled that he used to ask her for her son’s childhood books so that he could take them to Raha and read them to her.
Indira said, “He told me Raha is his dal chawal. The simplicity and love with which he talks about his daughter – it stayed with me. “Every day he would remind me, ‘Ma’am, did you get the books for Raha?’”
The actress also recalled another incident of him walking with a limp to the shoot and when she asked him what had happened, his response melted her heart. She said, “I asked him what happened, and he said, ‘There was a race, Indira ji… I ran for Raha. And I came first.’ He’d pulled a muscle but still showed up to work like nothing happened. That’s Ranbir. A father before anything else.”
