Bollywood star Aamir Khan joined hands with Radio Zindagi as official radio partner in USA for Aamir’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ which has been released in theatres on June 20 and opened to a good response at the box office in India and globally.
‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, a sequel to the blockbuster movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’, that features the challenges faced by intellectually disabled people as they step up to prove themselves in a basketball competition.
The movie is filled with love, laughter and happiness as Aamir, playing the role of a Basketball coach, tackles the problems of his life while coaching the basketball team.
In just 15 days since its theatrical release, RS Prasanna’s film has collected ₹137.80 crore net (₹164.80 crore gross) in India. Adding to this, it has earned over $6 million from international markets, bringing its global gross total to an impressive ₹217.50 crore. This achievement places ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, trailing only Chhaava, Housefull 5, and Raid 2.
As per reports, the film earned $1.10 million during its opening weekend in the U.S., and its total U.S. gross reached $2.8 million by the end of last week.
The film continues screening into its third week and over the last weekend ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has likely crossed ₹220 crore globally and has become one of Aamir Khan’s top 5 highest-ever grossers behind only to Dangal, PK, Dhoom 3, and 3 Idiots.
With a production budget of ₹90 crore, the film produced by Aamir Khan Productions has definitely proved to a box office success.
