Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi paid a heartfelt visit to the India-Pakistan border at RS Pura in Jammu & Kashmir, where she met and interacted with women personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF). The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was marked by Qureshi’s admiration for the courage and dedication of the women jawans stationed at one of the country’s most sensitive frontiers.
Qureshi, known for her powerful roles in Indian cinema, spent time with the BSF women wing, observing their daily routines and listening to their stories of service and sacrifice. She expressed deep respect for their resilience, stating, “Thank you for giving me a chance to come here today and interact with our soldiers, especially the women troopers who are guarding our borders round-the-clock without caring for their lives. I realised once again how lucky we are that you are protecting our borders.”
The actress was seen participating in informal conversations, sharing light moments, and even posing for photographs with the jawans. Qureshi also addressed the crowd at Octroi post and said, “Please do not let hate win. Come to Jammu and Kashmir, come as travellers and go back as believers.”
BSF officials welcomed Qureshi’s visit, highlighting the morale boost such interactions provide to the troops, especially the women who serve in challenging conditions. “It is always encouraging for our personnel when public figures acknowledge their hard work and sacrifices,” a senior BSF official commented.
The visit comes at a time when the role of women in India’s armed forces is increasingly being recognized and celebrated. The BSF women wing, deployed along critical border areas, plays a vital role in maintaining security and peace.
Qureshi’s gesture has been widely appreciated on social media, with fans and citizens lauding her for bringing attention to the contributions of women in uniform. The actress concluded her visit by urging the nation to support and honor its security forces, emphasizing that their unwavering dedication keeps the country safe.
