The IIFA Digital Awards 2025, held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, as part of the 25th International Indian Film Academy Awards, celebrated the best in digital content. This event highlighted the increasing impact of streaming platforms on Indian entertainment. Among the key winners, the musical biopic “Amar Singh Chamkila,” directed by Imtiaz Ali, secured the top film award. Imtiaz Ali was also recognized as the Best Director for his work on this film. In the acting categories, Vikrant Massey won for his role in “Sector 36,” while Kriti Sanon was honored for her performance in “Do Patti.” These awards underscored the talent and creativity that are flourishing in the digital space.
In the series category, “Panchayat Season 3” dominated the awards, with Jitendra Kumar receiving the Best Actor award. Deepak Kumar Mishra was awarded Best Director for his work on “Panchayat Season 3.” Other notable winners included Kanika Dhillon for Best Original Story in the film “Do Patti,” and “Kota Factory Season 3” for Best Original Story in a series. Additionally, “Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives” won in the Best Reality/Non-Scripted Series category, and “Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous” took home the award for Best Docu-Series/Docu Film.
The ceremony marked a significant moment in acknowledging the excellence of digital content, with both Amazon and Netflix securing multiple wins. It also included a tribute to the iconic film “Sholay” on its 50th anniversary, highlighting the enduring legacy of Indian cinema.
