The Sacramento Inno Awards has recognized Blaize CEO Dinakar Munagala as Innovator of the Year. The Sacramento Inno Awards, organized by the Sacramento Business Journal, recognize innovation within the Sacramento region and the remarkable individuals and organizations behind these initiatives.
At the 2024 Sacramento Inno Awards ceremony on November 14, 2024, an expert panel discussed the future of AI and innovation in the Sacramento region.
“The Sacramento region has a wealth of individuals and organizations at the forefront of driving innovation and moving our economy forward,” said Dinakar Munagala, CEO of Blaize. “It is an honor to receive this recognition. Munagala, co-founder and CEO of Blaize, brings over 22 years of experience successfully leading global teams building graphics chips and has been recognized for technical excellence, new initiatives, and a results-focused approach.
Prior to co-founding Blaize, Munagala spent 12 years at Intel where he held pivotal roles in graphics processor micro-architecture and design and feature ownership in the mobile and graphics engineering group, as well as with the Intel Centrino platforms.
Munagala holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree, Electrical and Computer Engineering, from Osmania University, India, and a Master of Science degree, Electrical and Computer Engineering, from Purdue University, USA. He is credited with 5 IP/Patent filings.
