Bharatiya Senior Citizens of Chicago held nine day long Navratri Garba Mahotsav at Rana Regan Center in Carol Stream, IL. More than a thousand devotees from the Chicago area celebrated this beautiful Navratri Mahotsav.
On October 3rd, the first day of Navratri sponsors performed ‘Mata Amba Maa Pujan’ and all committee members performed ‘Mata Amba Maa Pujan’ starting from October 4 to October 12.
The blessed ones who performed ‘Mata Amba Maa Pujan’ include Gordhan Patel and family, Dr. Dhaval Patel and family, Bachubhai Paghdal and family, Suryakant Patel and Pinakinbhai family, Arvind Guna Patel and family, Mahendra Moradia and family, Damji Patel family, Hari Patel and family, Shirish Shah and family, Bharat Patel and family and Bharat Doshi.
This Navratri Mahotsav was made special by the presence of Chicago land’s popular DJ OZA (Bharat Oza) and Ajay Makwana who played traditional dances including the energetic Garba and Dandiya each day and special prayers. The President of BSC Hari Patel thanked all the volunteers who dedicated countless hours for holding a grand event.
All the guests and attendees enjoyed traditional cuisine including Fafda and Jalebi, offered by the BSC to celebrate Dussehra. Other delicacies served included Ragda Patties, Shiro, Bhel Puri, Tea and Coffee. During the Navratri event, BSC also celebrated the 86th birthday of Parsottam Pandya (Managing Trustee) and undertook planning for the upcoming Diwali and New Year celebrations.
