WASHINGTON: President-Elect Joe Biden’s tryst with diversity continued on Tuesday as he picked two more people from ethnic minority communities among five people he appointed to various White House functions.
Among six staff members that were named, Vinay Reddy from Dayton, Ohio, will serve as Director of Speechwriting, a key post that will be in charge of researching, preparing and writing speeches for the President. The position is also known as Assistant to the President and Director of Speechwriting, and is a role in the Executive Office of the President, operating within the Office of Communications.
Reddy grew up in Dayton and attended Miami University and The Ohio State University College of Law.
Other personnel Biden picked on Tuesday are Anne Filipic as Director of Management and Administration, Ryan Montoya as Director of Scheduling and Advance, Gautam Raghavan as Deputy Director of Office of Presidential Personnel, Bruce Reed as Deputy of Chief of Staff, and Elizabeth Wilkins as Senior Advisor to the Chief of Staff.
