Diwali was celebrated on a grand scale at Times Square in New York on October 28, 2023 with over 500,000 people in attendance. The celebrations which began around noon, culminated in a mesmerising concert, featuring artists from Bollywood with popular singer Mika Singh, and former American Idol contestant, Shuba along with soul-stirring British Indian classical singer, Shivali, regaling the audience with their performances.

The event which highlighted the rich traditions of Diwali in the heart of New York City, was sponsored by Gopi Dairy in collaboration with Aapka Colors, the flagship channel of Viacom18.
