The Iselin Adult Day Care Center and World Vegan Vision joined forces on Friday, August 11th, to celebrate India’s Independence Flag Hoisting Day. The event, which took place at the Iselin Adult Day Care Center in Woodbridge, NJ brought together approximately 250 attendees.
The ceremony commenced with heartfelt speeches and wishes from esteemed guests. Renowned singer Varsha Joshi delivered a patriotic song, while event emcee Kulraj Aanand led the singing of the American National Anthem. Deputy Consul General Dr. Varun Jeph and Acharya Lokesh Muni unfurled the Indian flag, accompanied by the Indian national anthem, to honor the significance of this historic day.
During his speech, Deputy Consul General Varun Jeph expressed his gratitude and stressed the importance of celebrating this day with seniors and members of the community. He also recognized and commended World Vegan Vision for its mission, calling for everyone’s support. Deputy Consul General Varun Jeph extended special thanks to the Public Relations Director, Nitin Vyas, for organizing the event.
Acharya Lokesh Muni emphasized the significance of the celebration, highlighting peace and harmony as essential values to uphold.

A vegan lunch was served to all the guests, promoting healthy and sustainable food choices.
