Americans4Hindus political action committee in collaboration with more than 20 other diaspora bodies is organizing the first-ever Hindu-American Summit to be held at the US Capitol on June 14. This recently formed political action committee is organizing the summit to raise the concerns of the Hindu community before the lawmakers.
The organizers are planning for an address by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy at the US Capitol summit where he will engage with a group of eminent Indian Americans from across the US for the first-ever Hindu-American summit for political engagement.
From all across the US, about 130 Indian American leaders from New York, Florida, Boston, Chicago, Texas, and California, representing more than 20 Hindu and Indian organizations are going to participate in this big event.
Dr. Romesh Japra said the community is working towards creating the first-ever Hindu Caucus – a group of lawmakers working towards protecting the interest of Hindu Americans – in the House of Representatives.
