Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana: The Rise of a Legend has generated Rs 4.88 crore in advance bookings across India in less than a day, with nearly 85,000 tickets sold ahead of its November 5 theatrical release. Premium recliner seats for select shows in Mumbai have been priced at Rs 2,770, highlighting the early demand for the upcoming mythological epic.

According to Sacnilk data reported by India Today, the film had recorded bookings across 104 cities as of 8 am on Wednesday, October 21. Excluding block bookings, its advance collection stood at Rs 3.05 crore.

Delhi-NCR led the advance booking figures, generating Rs 1.42 crore from 18,674 tickets, followed by Mumbai, which recorded Rs 1.01 crore from 14,823 tickets. Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru also contributed to the film’s early collections.

The Hindi version accounted for the largest share of advance sales, collecting Rs 4.62 crore. The Kannada version generated Rs 24.92 lakh, while the Telugu version recorded Rs 47,400.

Ticket prices have also drawn attention, with select IMAX 3D recliner seats at PVR ICON: Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai’s Lower Parel costing Rs 2,770 for shows scheduled on November 5 and 6. Bookings opened on October 20, more than two weeks before the film’s release, following an initial delay reportedly linked to a dispute over distribution revenue between Dharma Productions and cinema exhibitors.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part adaptation features Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman, while Ravi Dubey portrays Lakshman. The ensemble also includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Anupam Kher and Rakul Preet Singh.

The film is planned for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, with premium formats including IMAX. The second instalment is scheduled for Diwali 2027.
