Director-producer Pawan Kumar Chouhan and PRC Production Inc. celebrated the grand launch of Bhole Da Viah on October 6, 2026. The upcoming Punjabi feature film is planned to be shot entirely in New York, marking an ambitious milestone for Punjabi cinema.
The event welcomed Elaine Phillips, Nassau County Comptroller and former New York State Senator, as Chief Guest, adding a distinguished presence to the celebration.
Bollywood actress Riya Sen traveled especially from Mumbai to attend the launch. Reuniting with Chouhan following their collaboration on Highway 905, she expressed excitement about her specially written Bengali character, bringing Punjabi and Bengali cultures together.
The film will also feature acclaimed actress Upasana Singh, alongside Nanak Singh, Zulqarnain Sikander, Amit Chouhan, Qaiser Piya, and other talented performers.
Chouhan previously showcased his cinematic projects at Marché du Film, the international film market held during the Cannes Film Festival in France. Building on this international experience, he aims to bring Punjabi storytelling to global audiences.
The film’s inaugural ceremony and initial shooting are planned for December 2026, with the remaining shooting schedule expected in March 2027. Auditions have included New York, New Jersey, Indiana, and virtual talent searches across the United States.
Artists including Saloni Chouhan, Kirandeep Kaur, Tanvir Malik, and several local performers attended the celebration. The event was sponsored by Jawad of Mehfil Restaurant.

Media representatives demonstrated tremendous enthusiasm and support for the event, expressing their commitment to promoting Bhole Da Viah and continuing to support the film through the South Asian media community as it moves toward production and release.
The evening also featured the premiere of PRC Production’s award-recognized short film I Have a Gun, appreciation awards honoring artists and media representatives, and a presentation highlighting the company’s previous cinematic achievements.
For Chouhan, Bhole Da Viah represents years of determination, teamwork, and a vision to take Punjabi cinema beyond borders, opening a promising new chapter for PRC Production Inc.
