Mulberry Films and Fabled Frames announced the North American digital release of Line Of Control, written and directed by Travis Hodgkins. Distributed by Vision Films, the film will be available to rent or purchase beginning October 6, 2026, on Amazon, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and other major digital platforms across the United States and Canada.
Adapted from Mirza Waheed’s acclaimed novel The Collaborator, Line Of Control reaches North American audiences following a successful international festival run that included its world premiere at the San Diego International Film Festival, a market screening during the Cannes Film Festival, and its Asia premiere at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai.
Set in Kashmir in 1993, the film follows a teenage boy whose closest friends disappear amid the escalating insurgency. Determined to discover what happened to them, he is forced by an Indian Army captain to enter a valley of corpses and recover identification cards and weapons from the dead. Each body could be a friend. As the captain’s demands deepen and his village turns against him, the boy must find a way to survive without losing his conscience.

The film stars Rudi Dharmalingam, Nitin Ganatra, Nikhil Singh Rai, Anastasia Jairath, and Serdar Altan. Produced by Rashaana Shah and Cristy Coors Beasley, the Mulberry Films and Fabled Frames production features cinematography by Johan Holmqvist, editing by Jamie Kirkpatrick, and an original score by Wayne Sharpe.
Line Of Control has received highly favorable reviews, with critics praising its performances and its intimate portrayal of lives caught in conflict:
- “Nikhil Singh Rai shines as The Boy.” — Alan Ng, Film Threat (8/10)
- “Well-directed, written, and acted” — Mark Lakatos, Take 2 Indie Review
- “the film carries the burden of that landscape with surprising tenderness.” — The Kashmir Times
- “a deeply affecting film” — Zenaira Bakhsh, Outlook India (4/5)
The film’s festival run will conclude with a screening at the Buffalo International Film Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at North Park Theatre in Buffalo, New York. Writer and director Travis Hodgkins will attend.
The original motion picture soundtrack, composed by two-time Emmy Award nominee Wayne Sharpe, is also available on iTunes, Spotify, and other major music streaming platforms. Released by Air-Edel Records, the score combines Indian instrumentation with contemporary Western styles and electronic textures, extending the film’s emotional world beyond the screen.
