Musician and songwriter Sparsh Shah has been nominated for the 2027 World Entertainment Awards in the category of Best Social Awareness Song for his track “One Heart.” Reflecting on his journey, Shah said that overcoming more than 150 fractures and facing severe health challenges has reinforced his belief that circumstances need not determine a person’s possibilities. He expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the nomination as another milestone in his continuing musical journey on the global stage.
According to Shah, “One Heart” carries a message of unity and shared humanity, emphasizing that people remain connected despite their differences. He thanked those who have supported his music and mission of transforming personal pain into purpose and inspiration. With the nomination taking him one step closer to the awards event in Los Angeles, Shah said, “Los Angeles, here we come!”
For Sparsh Shah, music is more than performance. It is a way of telling his story, challenging perceptions and connecting with audiences across borders.
Known professionally as Purhythm, Shah has built a musical career spanning singing, songwriting, rap and music production. His official music catalogue ranges from original songs and collaborations to rap interpretations of well-known tracks, reflecting an artistic journey that combines Indian classical influences with contemporary music.
One of the defining themes of Shah’s work is perseverance. Born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a condition that causes unusually fragile bones, Shah says he has experienced more than 150 fractures and undergone multiple surgeries. Despite those physical challenges, he began pursuing music from childhood. His musical training includes Hindustani classical vocal lessons as well as Western vocal and keyboard studies.
His relationship with music began early. That evolution is evident in his catalogue. Among the songs listed on his official website are “There’s Always Tomorrow,” “Turn Around,” “Count on Me,” “This Is Me (The Rap Prince),” “Naseeb,” “LUV Today” and “One Heart.” The catalogue also includes collaborations with artists including NEEL, Biana Pinchuk and Prashant Ingole.
Some of Shah’s songs are explicitly rooted in messages of hope and solidarity. “There’s Always Tomorrow,” described by Shah as his debut single, carries an inspirational message, while “LUV Today,” recorded with Biana Pinchuk, is presented as a song for people facing hardship. “One Heart,” meanwhile, focuses on unity, with its description framing love and peace as alternatives to hatred and division.
