Lexus India has launched the all-new ES 350h hybrid sedan in the country, with prices starting at ₹66.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The eighth-generation luxury sedan, which is locally manufactured, is available in two variants, Exquisite, priced at ₹66.10 lakh, and Luxury, priced at ₹71.80 lakh. The launch strengthens Lexus India’s locally assembled hybrid portfolio and marks another step in the automaker’s multi-pathway approach to electrification.

The ES 350h is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a newly developed hybrid system, electric motor and lithium-ion battery. The petrol engine produces 139 kW of maximum power and 237 Nm of torque, while the electric motor delivers up to 119.1 kW. The sedan has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 25.22 km/l.

The new-generation ES is larger than its predecessor, measuring 5,145 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,575 mm in height, with a 2,950-mm wheelbase. Lexus has designed the sedan around its “Provocative Simplicity” design philosophy, while the cabin gets a new-generation multimedia system featuring a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen.

Safety and ownership features include Lexus Safety System+, while the company is offering an eight-year or two-lakh-km warranty for the vehicle and hybrid battery, according to the launch announcement.

The ES 350h joins Lexus India’s growing electrified range, following the introduction of the ES 500e battery-electric sedan earlier this year. The company has positioned the new ES as part of a broader strategy that combines hybrid and battery-electric technologies as it expands its luxury vehicle portfolio in India.
