Health Camp of New Jersey (HCNJ) will host its annual Community Health Fair on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Durga Temple in South Brunswick, New Jersey, providing hundreds of uninsured and underinsured individuals with access to comprehensive preventive health screenings, medical and dental services, health education, counseling, and other vital healthcare resources.
The health fair is open to pre-registered uninsured and underinsured participants. Online registration must be completed by September 9, 2026. Participants will have access to a wide range of services, including blood testing, EKGs, physical examinations, cardiology evaluations, vision screenings for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, cancer screenings and prevention education, diabetes and hypertension screening, cardiovascular health assessments, women’s health services, pharmacy and medication counseling, dietary and nutritional counseling, mental health resources, physical therapy, Reiki therapy, and assistance with accessing appropriate healthcare services and follow-up care.
A dedicated team of physicians, dentists, nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, medical assistants, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, medical students, and other healthcare professionals and volunteers will participate in the event. Specialists from internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, hematology, and other disciplines will provide screenings, education, counseling, and referrals, with particular attention to chronic diseases and health conditions that disproportionately affect or significantly impact South Asian populations.
Several community and healthcare organizations will also participate in the health fair. Legacy Pharmacy Group will provide flu vaccinations to qualified participants. LabCorp, SAMHIN, the New Jersey Department of Health, RWJ Barnabas Health – New Brunswick, Rutgers Medical School, and numerous community, healthcare, and volunteer organizations will contribute services and resources to support the event.
Over the years, HCNJ has established a significant record of service to underserved communities. Since its inception, the organization has provided health screenings to more than 14,500 individuals throughout New Jersey and has identified more than 4,500 chronic disease abnormalities, allowing many participants to receive early intervention, education, and recommendations for follow-up care.
The health fair also comes at an important time in HCNJ’s continuing expansion of healthcare access. On September 19, 2026, HCNJ will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Lata Atul Shah Community Health Center in Somerset, New Jersey. The Community Health Center will provide year-round primary care, preventive services, chronic disease management, health education, referrals, and follow-up care to individuals and families who face barriers to accessing healthcare.
