The Uttar Pradesh Federation of North America (UPFNA) successfully hosted its Annual Family Picnic 2026 on August 1st, 2026, bringing together 200+ members and families from across New Jersey and neighboring states for a memorable day filled with friendship, cultural pride, and community bonding.

The event began with a special Family Introduction Session, where each family introduced themselves, shared their hometown or district in Uttar Pradesh, spoke about their journey with UPFNA, and shared ideas on how they could contribute toward making the UPFNA family stronger. This heartfelt interaction helped members connect beyond names, celebrate their common roots, and build meaningful relationships within the community.

More than just a social gathering, the picnic reflected UPFNA’s vision of bringing families closer, strengthening community connections, and preserving the cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh.

A major highlight of the event was the live cooking experience, where members enjoyed freshly prepared tangy Pani Puri and sweet, crispy Jalebis, bringing the authentic flavors of India to the celebration. The experience was followed by a delicious community lunch, where families gathered together to enjoy great food, conversations, and the spirit of togetherness.

The day continued with exciting games and activities designed for all age groups. Children, youth, adults, and seniors enthusiastically participated, creating an atmosphere of laughter, teamwork, and celebration. The event concluded with a specially designed “UPFNA Annual Picnic 2026” themed Tambola, customized with references to UPFNA, Uttar Pradesh, and memorable moments from the day, making it a perfect finale to the celebration.

The success of the picnic was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of UPFNA’s office bearers and volunteers. Under the guidance and coordination of the leadership team— Amit Gupta (President), Alpana Anand Singh (Vice President), Alpana Pathak (Secretary), and Saurabh Gupta (Treasurer) —the event was organized smoothly and successfully.

Special appreciation goes to all volunteers, especially the young volunteers, who supported registrations, coordinated games, assisted with activities, and helped throughout the event. Their enthusiasm, responsibility, and leadership reflected the strong future of the UPFNA community.

Throughout the event, one common sentiment echoed among participating families:

“UPFNA is not just an organization—it is an extended family. Events like the Annual Picnic give us an opportunity to reconnect with our roots, build lasting friendships, and create cherished memories together. Every family brings unique experiences, ideas, and energy that help UPFNA grow stronger. Through our collective participation, volunteer spirit, and mutual support, this family continues to flourish.”

UPFNA remains committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh while fostering unity, family values, youth engagement, professional networking, and community service across North America.

The organization looks forward to creating many more memorable experiences through upcoming cultural, educational, professional, and social initiatives, continuing its journey of building a stronger and more connected UPFNA family.
