Health Camp of New Jersey (HCNJ), in collaboration with Shree Venkateswara Temple (Balaji Temple), Bridgewater, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital–Somerset, successfully hosted a comprehensive Community Health Fair on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Shree Venkateswara Temple in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The event attracted an outstanding response from the community, with more than 200 individuals receiving free health screenings, physician consultations, preventive health education, and wellness resources designed to promote early detection and healthier lifestyles.
The Community Health Fair reflected the shared commitment of HCNJ and its healthcare and community partners to improve access to quality healthcare services for underserved and uninsured populations while emphasizing prevention, education, and early intervention. Participants had the opportunity to consult with experienced physicians, healthcare professionals, and volunteers representing multiple medical specialties, enabling individuals and families to better understand their health conditions and receive guidance for appropriate follow-up care.
The event featured an extensive range of free healthcare services, including cancer prevention education, cardiology consultations, neurology consultations, urology consultations, women’s health education and consultations, mental health screening and counseling, physical therapy consultations, dietary and nutrition counseling, dental screening and oral health education, eye screening for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, and alternative medicine therapies. In addition, attendees participated in interactive CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) demonstrations that provided valuable life-saving skills for responding to medical emergencies.
The success of the health fair was made possible through the extraordinary collaboration and dedication of physicians, healthcare providers, volunteers, and community organizations working together to improve public health. Health Camp of New Jersey extends its sincere appreciation to the management and volunteers of Shree Venkateswara Temple for graciously hosting the event and for their unwavering support in serving the community. Special recognition is also extended to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital–Somerset for its continued partnership in promoting preventive healthcare and community wellness.
HCNJ also recognizes the outstanding contributions of volunteers from SSAI, SAMHIN, RWJ University Hospital–Somerset, Shree Venkateswara Temple, and numerous community organizations whose dedication and service ensured the smooth operation of the event. Their collective efforts created a welcoming environment where community members could comfortably access high-quality healthcare information and services.
The organization further expresses its heartfelt gratitude to its long-standing healthcare partners and sponsors whose continued support has strengthened Health Camp of New Jersey’s outreach efforts throughout 2026. LabCorp once again provided essential laboratory support, while Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy continued its commitment to medication management and pharmacy services. Appreciation is also extended to ANS for its ongoing partnership and invaluable support of HCNJ’s community health initiatives.

Building on the success of this event, Health Camp of New Jersey, Shree Venkateswara Temple, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital–Somerset remain committed to continuing this impactful partnership through future community health initiatives that expand access to quality healthcare and promote healthier communities.
The next Health Camp of New Jersey Community Health Fair is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Durga Mandir in Princeton, New Jersey. Community members are encouraged to register online in advance. Registration is currently open and will close on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
For more than 26 years, Health Camp of New Jersey has remained one of the region’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to preventive healthcare and community wellness. During this time, the organization has provided free health screenings to more than 14,000 individuals, identified over 4,500 chronic health abnormalities, and connected thousands of community members with essential healthcare resources and follow-up care.
As part of its continuing commitment to improving healthcare access, Health Camp of New Jersey is preparing to launch the Lata Atul Shah Community Health Center in Somerset, New Jersey, with its Grand Opening scheduled for September 19, 2026. The new center will provide year-round primary care, preventive health services, chronic disease management, health education, and coordinated follow-up care for uninsured, underinsured, and medically underserved populations, representing a significant milestone in HCNJ’s mission to build healthier communities.
