Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has commenced filming for Ragini 3, the latest installment in Balaji Motion Pictures’ popular horror franchise, with the first shooting schedule currently underway in London. The makers have confirmed that the film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh, is slated for a theatrical release in 2027.
Balaji Motion Pictures announced the start of production through social media, sharing the first glimpse from the sets. Tamannaah also posted a behind-the-scenes image featuring the film’s clapboard, offering fans an early look at the project. The production house described Ragini 3 as a “date-night horror entertainer” that combines scares, romance and unexpected twists while retaining the franchise’s signature appeal.
According to the makers, Tamannaah was their first choice for the lead role, with her character being described as intriguing and unpredictable. The film marks a fresh chapter in the Ragini series, which has built a loyal audience over the years for its blend of supernatural horror and suspense. Director Shashanka Ghosh aims to reinvent the franchise with a contemporary narrative while preserving its core horror elements.
