40-meter (131-Foot) long Shrinathji Scroll Painting at Umiya Dham creates History in US

Vallabh Youth Organization-NJ (VYO-NJ) and Umiya Dham-NJ are pleased to announce the successful completion of the historic International Shrinathji Divya Jeevan Darshan Scroll Painting Exhibition, held on May 30–31, 2026, at Shree Umiya Dham in Edison, New Jersey.

The two-day event attracted hundreds of devotees, families, community members, and children who gathered to experience the magnificent 40-meter (131-foot) continuous scroll painting depicting the complete divine life story of Shrinathji. The exhibition marked the first time this extraordinary masterpiece was displayed in the United States, making it a landmark cultural and spiritual event for the Vaishnav and Sanatan Hindu Dharma community.

Visitors were deeply inspired by the artistic beauty and devotional significance of the scroll, which portrays the divine leelas and life journey of Shrinathji through a continuous visual narrative. Many attendees described the exhibition as a unique combination of spiritual reflection, cultural education, and artistic excellence.

“Experiencing Shrinathji’s divine journey unfold through this remarkable scroll was both a spiritual blessing and a powerful connection to our cultural heritage,” said Manu Dadhania, President of VYO-NJ and Vice-Chairman of Umiya-Dham, NJ. “It inspired devotees of all ages and reminded us of the importance of preserving these sacred traditions for future generations.”. Sejal Patel was so touched by this experience and said “This is just so fascinating, can’t get over it”.

A special highlight of the event was the presence of the distinguished artist family, Mrs. Madhu Vekariya and Mr. Ghanshyam Vekariya from Surat, India, whose devotional artwork has earned recognition in both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records for 100-meter continuous scroll painting on Jeevan Darshan of Shri Mahaprabhuji in 2022. Their dedication to preserving sacred traditions through art was appreciated by devotees of all generations. The artists spent about 11,000 hours of time in almost 3 years period to complete Shrinathji scroll painting and completed it in April 2026. Mr. Vekariya was very much impressed by the knowledge of and questions asked by young children, who are students of VYO education, being conducted at UmiyaDham, NJ. When asked about what inspired them to take upon this divine project, Mrs. Vekariya simply stated that its “Thakorji’s Krupa” (Blessings from Lord Shrinathji, who is 7-year-old form of almighty Lord Shree Krushna).

The exhibition proved especially meaningful for younger attendees, as numerous children and youth participated in the event, gaining a deeper understanding of Shrinathji’s divine pastimes and the rich heritage of Pushtimarg through this engaging visual presentation.

The overwhelming response from the community reflected the enduring importance of preserving and sharing devotional culture through innovative and inspiring programs. Throughout the weekend, the atmosphere was filled with devotion, learning, and fellowship, creating lasting memories for all who attended.

VYO-NJ and Umiya Dham-NJ extend their heartfelt gratitude to the artists, volunteers, donors, community leaders, and devotees whose support made this historic event possible. The organizations also thank the hundreds of attendees who participated and contributed to the success of this remarkable spiritual and cultural celebration.
