Bollywood star Akshay Kumar heaped praise on his long-time co-star Raveena Tandon during the trailer launch of Welcome To The Jungle, lauding her dedication and professionalism while also joking about her evolving roles in cinema.
Speaking at the event, Akshay recalled an incident from the film’s shoot when the crew was racing against time to capture a sunset sequence. He revealed that Raveena quickly changed costumes inside a generator van to ensure the shot was completed on schedule. The actor said her willingness to adapt under challenging circumstances helped the production avoid delays and demonstrated her commitment to the project.
In a light-hearted moment, Akshay reflected on Raveena’s journey in the film industry, remarking that she was once a leading heroine and now plays the mother of a heroine. The comment drew laughter from the audience and highlighted the actress’s successful transition into diverse character roles over the years.
The event also marked a nostalgic reunion for Akshay and Raveena, who became one of Bollywood’s most popular on-screen pairs in the 1990s. Their collaboration in Welcome To The Jungle has generated considerable excitement among fans eager to see them share screen space again.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle is the third installment in the popular Welcome franchise and features one of the largest ensemble casts in recent Bollywood history. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and several others. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
The trailer launch also became a celebration of nostalgia, bringing together several familiar faces from Bollywood and rekindling memories of classic films from the 1990s and 2000s.
