The trailer of the Telugu sports action drama Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, has drawn glowing early reactions from producers and fans. Producer Naga Vamsi, who watched the 3‑minute promo, called it “straight out of the park” and compared Ram Charan’s performance to Virat Kohli playing cricket, highlighting his power, intensity and clean style on screen.
Peddi is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, and is set for a worldwide release on 4th June 2026 under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings and Vriddhi Cinemas. The film stars Ram Charan as the lead, with Janhvi Kapoor playing a village belle, supported by Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma in key roles. Music for the film is composed by AR Rahman.
Naga Vamsi also praised Janhvi Kapoor, describing her as “ravishing” and well‑suited to the film’s rural backdrop and emotional tone. Director Buchi Babu Sana has earlier said that Janhvi was very excited about the role’s story, setup and large cinematic canvas, and could not resist signing on.
With strong backing from top producers, a major music composer and a cricket‑style “power hitter” image for its hero, Peddi is already being positioned as one of the big Telugu releases of 2026.
