Akshay Kumar has undergone a minor eye surgery in Mumbai. The procedure happened on the morning of May 6 for vision correction.

The 58-year-old actor finished the Keralam schedule of his upcoming untitled film just before the surgery. He shared an Instagram post praising director Anees Bazmee and co-stars Vidya Balan, Raashii Khanna, and Chota Rajpal. “Keralam schedule wrapped! Nothing beats working with good people in a beautiful place,” Kumar wrote.

A source said, “It was a minor surgery carried out on the morning of May 6. It was for vision correction. Akshay will now take a brief break and recuperate since he has also completed the Keralam schedule of his next film with Anees Bazmee.”

This film reunites Akshay with Anees Bazmee after 15 years. It also brings him back with Vidya Balan after hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Heyy Babyy (2007), and Mission Mangal (2019).

The shoot took place in Kerala spots like Munnar and Marayoor. Akshay recently gave a hit with Bhooth Bangla by Priyadarshan. His busy slate includes Welcome To The Jungle, Haiwaan, Golmaal 5, and Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.

Fans wish Akshay a speedy recovery. He will rest before more shoots.
