Veteran actress Rekha joined Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kapil Sharma at the star‑packed screening of the upcoming film Daadi Ki Shaadi in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 5. The event comes just three days before the movie’s official release on May 8, 2026.
The screening took place in a suburban multiplex and was attended by several big names from the Hindi film industry. Rekha, who has not been seen regularly at public events, added major glamour to the night. She was pictured sharing a light moment with Kapil Sharma, and a short video of the duo joking together went viral online.
Neetu Kapoor, in the lead role of a grandmother dealing with a social media mishap, walked the red carpet with her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. This marks Riddhima’s big‑screen acting debut. The mother–daughter duo also posed for photographers with Rekha, whose entry was widely described as the “show‑stealer” of the evening.
Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, who plays a key role in the film, was seen alongside his co‑star Sadia Khateeb. The film is directed by Ashish R. Mohan and is positioned as a family‑centred comedy about a grandmother’s online “marriage” update that causes chaos around her granddaughter’s wedding plans. Daadi Ki Shaadi is set to open in cinemas across India on May 8, 2026.
