BMW Motorrad has opened pre‑bookings for the new F 450 GS in India, ahead of its official launch on 23 April 2026. The company has put out the booking update on its social‑media platforms, asking interested buyers to rush to authorised dealerships to secure the bike.
The F 450 GS will be sold across BMW Motorrad showrooms, with customers able to walk in and place a booking at their nearest dealer. Exact booking amounts are not fixed by the factory and vary from dealer to dealer, but earlier reports mention that some outlets have been taking sums between ₹10,000 and ₹25,000 as pre‑booking money.
The new bike is built as a compact adventure‑touring model, powered by a 450 cc parallel‑twin, liquid‑cooled engine that makes about 47.6–48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. It is being developed for global sale and will also be manufactured in India at TVS’s Hosur facility, cutting import costs and helping BMW keep the price competitive.
Market estimates peg the F 450 GS at around ₹4.5 lakh (ex‑showroom) in India, placing it in the same price band as the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and upcoming Chinese rivals like the CFMoto 450 MT. With LED lights, a colour TFT display, quickshifter‑style gear assistance and off‑road‑ready stance, BMW is pitching the F 450 GS as an entry‑level GS for buyers who want a true adventure look without the big‑bike price tag.
