Bollywood fans now have a new summer date to mark on their calendars. The romantic comedy Cocktail 2, starring Rashmika Mandanna, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, will hit theatres on June 19, 2026. The film is being presented as a spiritual sequel to Homi Adajania’s 2012 hit Cocktail, which had Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in the lead roles.
Adajania, who is returning to the director’s seat, will once again handle the story of messy relationships, late‑night parties and emotional highs and lows. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, known for backing urban, youth‑centric projects. The script for Cocktail 2 is written by Luv Ranjan, who has carved a niche for himself in romantic entertainers over the last few years.
The first poster of Cocktail 2 was shared by Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna on their social media handles. The card shows the trio in a casual, playful look, promising the film will keep the light, fun tone of the original while updating it for today’s audience. The makers also announced that the movie’s first look will be unveiled in theatres on March 18, attached to some big‑screen shows.
For Rashmika, this will be her first on‑screen pairing with both Shahid and Kriti, while Shahid and Kriti will be reuniting after their 2024 hit Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. If the posters and title are any indication, Cocktail 2 is setting itself up as one of the major romantic releases of 2026.
